Weekly Highlight: Fresh Faces Amongst New Earth Residents – Our Chosen Ones of the Week
In a heartwarming story from the picturesque town of Neuss-Grimlinghausen, Malte Mades and Lisa Mades, along with their older daughter Emilia, have recently expanded their family. On April 21st, the couple welcomed their second child, Louisa, at the Lukaskrankenhaus (Rheinland Klinikum) in the city.
The pregnancy went smoothly for Lisa, and the couple chose the Lukaskrankenhaus for the delivery based on recommendations from friends. The family felt well-supported by the delivery room team at the "Lukas" children's clinic, which is located within the same building.
Malte, a carpenter from the north of Germany, and Lisa, who met Malte at a celebration for the return of wandering journeymen in 2017, were pleased with the care they received. The couple's first child, Emilia, was also born at the Lukaskrankenhaus on May 1, 2019.
Louisa weighed 3,760 grams (approximately 8 lbs 2 oz) and measured 51 cm (approximately 20 inches) long. The birth was right on time, with only about 4% of babies born on their due date. Lisa's friend had originally invited her to the celebration where they met, but Lisa decided to attend to accompany her friend and ended up meeting Malte.
While Emilia was unable to pick up her mother and the new baby from the clinic as she was in kindergarten, the family is looking forward to spending time together at home. The Sandmann family resides in Rommerskirchen-Nettesheim and enjoys hiking and plans to spend a lot of time in nature with baby Nele.
Nina Sandmann, Louisa's mother, is a trained forwarding agent and has been working at a large logistics company since her apprenticeship. Sergej Sandmann, Louisa's father, grew up in the southern part of Neuss and now works at a fashion logistics company in Bedburg. The family is currently spending a lot of time alone at home, but they are grateful for the support of their extended family, who are always available if needed.
When considering hospitals for childbirth in Germany, the Etienne Clinic and Lukaskrankenhaus (Rheinland Klinikum) are among reputable options. Both hospitals offer comprehensive prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care with experienced obstetricians, modern facilities, and supportive services for mothers and newborns. However, it is important to consider factors such as location convenience, specific maternity services and birthing options available, level of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), if needed, patient reviews, and hospital accreditation. For the most accurate and personalized recommendation, contacting the hospitals directly or consulting a local healthcare provider in Germany would be ideal.
As the Sandmann family settles into their new life with baby Louisa, they look forward to exploring the beautiful outdoors and creating cherished memories with their growing family.
The Sandmann family, who recently welcomed their second child, Louisa, at the Lukaskrankenhaus in Neuss-Grimlinghausen, are excited to incorporate her into their home-and-garden lifestyle, reminiscent of the picturesque town they call home. As Malte, a carpenter, and Lisa, a trained forwarding agent, strive to provide the best lifestyle for their family, they've chosen to focus on embracing nature and outdoor activities, like hiking, with baby Louisa, a trend that mirrors the baby of the week's arrival.
