One logger, in particular, stayed in the woods for 15 years after returning from the Second World War.
After his summer stint at the logging camp, Bordua returned to school. His experiences, however, stayed with him, instilling a sense of hard work and determination that would shape his future.
Fast forward to his adult years, Bordua completed a master's in commerce and a law degree. He worked for St. Lawrence Paper, which was later acquired by Domtar paper. In 1973, Bordua founded a company specializing in engraving back in Estrie.
Bordua's accomplishments did not stop there. He became the mayor of Ulverton, a testament to his leadership and commitment to his community. His love for his hometown is evident, as he is known for making his own maple syrup for 12 years.
Moreover, Bordua's dedication to the environment is evident in his tree-planting initiatives. He planted thousands of trees, including 1000 oaks, a testament to his commitment to preserving nature.
