**Shark Launches Trade-In Scheme for Vacuum Cleaners**

Shark, a leading manufacturer of home appliances, has announced a new Trade-In scheme for vacuum cleaners. This initiative allows customers to trade in their old vacuum cleaners and receive various benefits, such as discounts and cashback.

The Trade-In scheme is available until June 17th, 2025, and applies to vacuum cleaners from any brand. Many eligible models within the Shark Trade-In scheme are currently discounted, including the top-rated self-emptying Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, which is currently on sale for £200 off the RRP.

Other participating models include the Shark Stratos Anti Hair Wrap Plus Pet Pro Cordless Vacuum and the Shark Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Upright Pet Vacuum, both of which are part of the £50 cashback scheme. The Shark Stratos Anti Hair Wrap Plus Pet Pro Cordless Vacuum is also part of the Trade-In scheme.

To participate in the Trade-In scheme, customers must submit a claim within 30 days of purchase. Eligible Shark vacuums for the Trade-In scheme are labeled as 'Qualifying Products' on the Shark website. If you send Shark an old robot vacuum, you must perform a factory reset to permanently delete all data.

Lauren Bradbury, the Content Editor for the House Manual section since January 2025, is the platform's Certified Expert in Training on Vacuums. With a background in English and Creative Writing from the University of Chichester, she oversees the creation and publication of articles related to home appliances.

While Shark's Trade-In scheme is focused on vacuum cleaners, it's important to note that efforts to protect shark and ray species continue through international agreements like CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora). Species like whale sharks, oceanic whitetips, and manta rays are proposed for Appendix I listings, which would ban commercial trade except in special circumstances. The oceanic whitetip shark is included in Appendix II listings, which require permits for trade to ensure it is legal and sustainable.

If a robot vacuum is preferred, many Shark robot vacuums are also included in the Trade-In scheme, such as the Shark PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro 2-in-1 Self-Empty Robot Vacuum & Mop. For more information and to check eligibility, visit the Shark website.

  1. To complement their new Trade-In scheme for vacuum cleaners, Shark also offers various home-and-garden cleaning hacks and lifestyle tips on their website, providing helpful advice on maintaining a tidy home with the aid of gadgets and technology.
  2. As the Trade-In scheme is not limited to Shark-branded appliances, customers can consider upgrading other home appliances, such as gadgets related to technology, to benefit from similar trade-in initiatives and enhance their lifestyle.
