Tunnel Zeppel in Bremen temporarily shut down from 19th November; detour for BSAG lines 2, 10, and N10.

The Zeppelintunnel in Hemelingen is currently undergoing a significant renovation project, led by Deutsche Bahn AG, which commenced in January 2021. This extensive overhaul includes the tunnel's shifting and enlarging by several meters, as well as the renewal of the roadway and noise protection walls.

During the renovation, the road under the new bridge of the Zeppelintunnel will be lowered by approximately 2.5 meters. As a result, several tram and bus stops will be affected. The stops Ludwig-Quidde-Straße and Malerstraße will be unavailable during the closure, while Föhrenstraße, Bahnhof Sebaldsbrück, Trinidadstraße, Schlossparkstraße, and Sebaldsbrück will not be served.

To accommodate passengers, temporary stops will be set up. For the Bennigsenstraße stop in the direction of Gröpelingen, a temporary stop will be established on Bei den Drei Pfählen street. Passengers can also use the alternative stops Hohwisch or Weserwehr during the closure.

Tram lines 2, 10, N10 will only run between Gröpelingen and Bennigsenstraße halt during this period. The Weserwehr stop for line 45 will be moved to serve lines 40, 41, and 42 during the closure. Additionally, bus line 10E will depart from Sebaldsbrück stop, platform D, in the direction of Weserwehr.

A bus replacement service (line 10E) will run between Weserwehr and Sebaldsbrück during the Zeppelintunnel closure. This closure will take place from November 19, 3 AM, to December 4, 3 AM. It's worth noting that the railway crossing on Sebaldsbrücker Heerstraße is also part of the renovation project.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and check for updates from local or national authorities responsible for the renovation. Bus line 45 can also be used on the route between Weserwehr and Sebaldsbrück during the closure.

The exact timeline for the Zeppelintunnel renovation beyond December 4, 2022, is not currently available. For more specific information, it may be helpful to check official announcements or updates from the authorities in charge of the project.

The Zeppelintunnel renovation project, led by Deutsche Bahn AG, is expected to impact the local industry and finance, as businesses may need to adjust their schedules or services during the closure. The lifestyle of residents, particularly those who rely on public transportation, will also be affected, as tram lines 2, 10, N10 and bus lines 10E, 40, 41, 42, and 45 will be altered. Additionally, the home-and-garden sector might experience increased demand for new stops and temporary shelters, such as the one set up on Bei den Drei Pfählen street, as passengers find alternative routes during the closure.
