Goldgruber Soup Festival Celebrates Diversity and Community
The Goldgruber Soup Festival, a celebration of culinary talent and cultural exchange, took place at the St. Franziskus community center in Koblenz, Germany. The second edition of the event attracted over 200 guests, who were treated to a diverse array of soup dishes from around the world.
The festival was a joint effort by Caritas neighborhood work, the Catholic Parish of St. Franziskus, and the neighborhood magazine Goldgrube. The theme of the event was "Soups from Around the World," and it reflected the diversity of the neighborhood with the participation of many individuals, families, kindergartens, and associations.
Guests sampled a variety of soup dishes, including potato soup, vegetable oat soup, ginger-carrot soup, red lentil soup, Greek chicken lemon stew, Rhine region potato-beef stew, and corn soup. The creative cooking teams wore Goldgruber soup aprons, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The VIP jury awarded the Goldgruber Soup Festival's prize to the "Colorful Potato Soup" of the Pestalozzi School, while the children's audience prize was given to "Vegetable Oat Soup" by Laila Sheib. Applause was given not only to the winning teams but to all guests and engaged people who made the Goldgruber Soup Festival a special experience.
Caritas employee Claudia Altmeier commented on the event, stating that it was a wonderful place for community and cultural exchange. Photos taken at the Goldgruber Soup Festival were for public relations purposes (print, online, social media), and guests were informed about the photo-taking in advance.
