Three Kings Bring Environmental Message to Harburg Town Hall
The town hall of Harburg has been blessed with the inscription '20C+M+B+24' above its entrance door. The Three Kings of the St. Maximilian Kolbe parish will embark on a journey on January 6 and 7, 2024, to visit disadvantaged children around the world, carrying a message of environmental protection and cultural preservation. The mayor of Seevetal, Emily Weede, welcomed the Three Kings at the town hall.
The inscription, '20C+M+B+24', is a traditional blessing that translates to 'Christ bless this house'. It is a custom to write this blessing on doors during the Christmas season. The Three Kings, in their visit, aim to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment and cultures worldwide, with their motto being 'Together for our Earth - in the Amazon and worldwide'.
During their visit, the Three Kings will stop at various locations in Harburg, including the town hall, the Rotarians, the Shooting Society, and the Hotel Lindtner. Children from the Catholic Parish of the Good Shepherd in Seevetal are also participating in the event by collecting money for a good cause through house visits in the region.
The Three Kings' procession in Harburg, with its focus on environmental and cultural protection, is a significant event that brings together the community. The blessing of the town hall and the visits to various institutions and children's homes highlight the spirit of giving and unity during the festive season.
