In the picturesque town of Schönsee, Germany, the local Red Cross chapter has once again proven its worth in 2022. Here's a rundown of their notable accomplishments and challenges faced this year.

The Red Cross's Helper on Site (HvO) service, a crucial component of their operations, consistently demonstrated its efficiency. On average, the HvO arrived at scenes within 5.91 minutes, significantly faster than the rescue services, which took an average of 8.71 minutes.

However, the shortage of personnel for the HvO was a concern that arose during the closing ceremony. Despite this, the team managed to cover a total of 831 deployment kilometers, with total costs of around 600 euros and no repairs necessary.

The defibrillator was highlighted as a crucial tool in the HvO service, and its importance cannot be overstated.

Regarding the ambulance replacement procurement, the search results did not provide any specific information. Josef Kreuzer, a key figure in the process, reported a cancelled order due to impossible delivery times and ongoing negotiations for a used vehicle.

The Red Cross team's work-life balance was well-balanced, with three blood donation events, seven first aid courses, six further training sessions, one defibrillator training, and the service of the helpers on site (HvO) making up their schedule.

Most HvO deployments were internal medical emergencies (34), and 19 were surgical cases, primarily falls by older persons (18). Notably, 30 additional deployments could not be covered due to a shortage of personnel.

Hans Eichstetter, the readiness leader, welcomed honorary guests and young active members at Gasthof Haberl. He also reported 411 hours of ambulance service from various events, including the Tölzer Knabenchor concert, the Bürger- and Seefest, foot pilgrimages, the women's day in Stadlern, and the Pascherspiel and "Advent in the Forest".

Out of 64 HvO deployments, 30 were carried out by Hans Eichstetter, 19 by Manuel Treiber, and 15 by Konrad Betz.

The achievements of the Red Cross are only possible through donations and the support of the city of Schönsee and the municipalities of Stadlern and Weiding. Willi Klein announced the introduction of digital radio for May 2015, and honors were given to loyal HvO members.

Lastly, Josef Sperl, Daniela Prunhuber, and Christina Prunhuber were honored for their engagement in blood donation and maintenance of the accommodation. Kreuzer was also thanked by all active members for his deployment efforts.
