SPDadvances in its efforts
The SPD Summer School 2024 is gearing up to be an enriching and insightful experience for participants. This year's programme, organised by the SPD City Council, will take attendees on a journey through various locations, offering unique opportunities to learn and engage.
The tour includes visits to vocational training centres, IT companies, cultural institutions, and more. Notable stops on the itinerary include the vocational training centre of the construction industry, the IT company HFS-Solutions, the Idea Supermarket, the Artotheque, and the GMVA.
HFS-Solutions, an IT company based in Oberhausen, was founded by Mehriz Fezzani. Participants of the summer school had a chance to engage with AWO's Managing Director, Gerrit Plein, and meet Mehriz Fezzani herself.
The programme aims to transfer the experiences gained to political work, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the city's various sectors. The visits offer firsthand insights into what works well and what doesn't from various perspectives.
The final stop on the summer school programme is the Generation Garden at Kaisergarten, cared for by AWO. This year's summer school event is concluding with a BBQ gathering in the Generation Garden.
Faction leader Sonja Bongers expressed delight about offering unusual insights to participants. This is the sixth event offered by the City Council during this holiday season, and it provides opportunities for participants to meet committed individuals in the city.
The SPD City Council's summer school is more than just a series of events; it's an immersive learning experience designed to inspire and engage. For those interested in joining next year's programme, stay tuned for more details as they become available.
