Sidsel's Chic Residence in Copenhagen, Showcasing a Peaceful Canine Nap!

In the picturesque island of Fejø, nestled among the lush greenery, lies a charming cabin that belongs to Sidsel Garsdal, a renowned jewellery designer. This Copenhagen family home, also shared by a stationary designer, a stylist, and a vintage store owner, is a treasure trove of timeless Scandinavian design.

The cabin showcases a distinctive blend of design elements that reflect a cozy, minimalist Scandinavian style with a warm, personal touch.

Natural Materials and Textures

The cabin's interior boasts an abundance of natural wood, from the walls and ceilings to the furniture. This harmonious use of wood creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, seamlessly integrating the cabin with the island's surrounding nature.

Nordic Simplicity with a Cozy Feel

Embracing Scandinavian minimalism, the cabin is adorned with cozy textiles such as knitted throws, woven rugs, and soft cushions. These additions create comfort and warmth, transforming the cabin into a peaceful retreat.

Handcrafted and Vintage Finds

To add character and history, Sidsel incorporates vintage and handmade items throughout the cabin. Antique furniture pieces and artisan ceramics can be found scattered around, giving the cabin a unique and personal touch.

Thoughtful Lighting

The lighting design in the cabin cleverly utilizes both natural light during the day and warm, ambient lighting at night. Pendant lamps and table lamps from Nordic design labels create a soft, inviting glow.

Art and Personal Touches

The walls of the cabin may feature curated art prints or photographs, reflecting personal stories or the island's landscape. These unique additions add a touch of individuality to the space.

Furniture Pieces

The cabin's armchair and sofa are Danish design pieces by Formal A, while the chairs around the table are a mix of wishbone and old Danish school chairs. The table, a secondhand find, and the mirror coffee tables, from Kristina Dam Studio, complete the furniture collection.

Storage Solutions

The cabin's storage solutions include a PAX closet from IKEA, which has been painted in 3372 from Flügger. The rug in the cabin is from Jotex, but no other furniture pieces from these brands are mentioned.

Photography of the home is by Sidsel Garsdal herself, showcasing the cabin's charm and the family's collection of books and other treasures. This unique cabin on Fejø Island is a testament to the timeless appeal of Scandinavian design and the power of personal touches.

The cabin, adorned with Nordic minimalism, also serves as a platform for Sidsel's vintage store, blending fashion-and-beauty items with the cozy interior-design aesthetics. Reflecting the family's diverse professions, the home's ambiance transitions seamlessly from the lifestyle of a jewelry designer to a vintage store owner, embracing a harmonious blend of home-and-garden, fashion-and-beauty, and lifestyle elements.
