The Park in Gohlbachtal Closes for Renovation

The Park in Gohlbachtal, located in Harburg, is currently closed and will remain so until July 16. This closure is due to the park undergoing a comprehensive upgrade and modernization.

Sandra Stolle, spokeswoman for the district office, stated that the closure is necessary to allow the surface to settle securely. She added that the park closure now includes pedestrian traffic as well, in order to ensure safety and facilitate the work.

The park closure affects the entire green area, including the commercial school located near the park closure area. The district office regrets the inconvenience caused by the extended closure and is working to complete the renovation as quickly as possible.

The park area's renovation includes the construction of new paths, which are not to be used for cycling, skating, or driving by vehicles until mid-July. The new paths require protection to prevent further damage, resulting in repairs and additional costs.

The district office announced the restrictions on the use of new paths a few weeks ago, in an attempt to prevent visitors from not following the restrictions on cycling, skating, and driving on the new paths. Unfortunately, the park closure is now necessary to ensure the success of the renovation project.

The park closure affects the entire green area, from Hastedtweg in the city to the path leading from the garden club to Bremer Straße. The park closure is not partial, but complete, and is intended to prevent further damage to the new paths and ensure their successful completion.

The district office is aware of the inconvenience caused by the park closure and apologizes for any disruption it may cause. They encourage visitors to find alternative green spaces to enjoy during the renovation period. The park is expected to reopen on July 16, refreshed and modernized, providing a beautiful and safe space for everyone to enjoy.
