SCLT Requests Assistance for the Clean-Up Operation at Huson House
The Historic Huson Homestead, one of Sheridan County's historic treasures, is located on the East side of the highway, approximately two miles north of Clearmont at 3581 US Highway 14-16. This two-story stone house, built in 1891 by Sarah Pattengell and the Doc Huson family, is a testament to the county's rich history.
On August 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, a volunteer event is being held at the Historic Huson Homestead. The event is organized by the Sheridan Community Land Trust (SCLT) and aims to help preserve this piece of Sheridan County history.
Volunteers are needed to help with various light maintenance tasks such as boarding up windows, securing the door, and whacking weeds. If you have your own chore gloves or tools, you are encouraged to bring them. SCLT will provide water, snacks, and some tools for the event.
