Saturday gathering scheduled in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is gearing up for its annual spring cleanliness campaign, with the citywide cleanup scheduled for May 23. The event, a traditional annual effort aimed at tidying up the streets and public areas of the regional capital by summer, will take place in various locations across the city.
According to the latest updates, the cleanup will extend to additional areas including the coastal zone of the Seroglazka microdistrict (bus stop "School No. 35"), the ecotrail to the monument to participants in the struggle for Soviet power on Kamchatka (including slopes), the section from the Siluet microdistrict to the TSUM (left side of the road at the 10th km), the Halaktyrka microdistrict, the intra-quarterly passage between houses No. 16, 18, 20 on Oborny 1854 Street, territories near houses No. 57, 63 on Ulitsa Petra Ilyicheva, slope behind house No. 2, sections along the road from No. 78 to No. 54, from No. 35 to the fork, from the fork to No. 64, Ulitsa Vatutina, 1V, Ulitsa Ryabikovskaya, 34B and 38, Ulitsa Kurilskaya, 22, 26, 30, and The Poets' Square on Sovetskaya Street.
The citywide cleanup involves a range of participants, including contract organizations, managing companies, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, students, and schoolchildren. Participants in the cleanup will be provided with necessary equipment, including gloves and trash bags. The cleanup will start at 11:00, as reported by Alexander Gvozdyev, deputy head of the city administration.
Weekly cleanups have been held in preparation for the summer season, and the results of past cleanups are visible and appreciated, according to Gvozdyev. Work will be done using machinery and manual labor, with everyone welcome to join the cleanup on May 23.
