Rozas Village marks a quarter-century milestone with the Mano a Mano textile art exhibition

Las Rozas Village, a must-visit destination just 40 minutes from Barcelona, is blending fashion, leisure, and gastronomy into a unique summer experience. This year, the village is not only a retail haven but also a cultural space celebrating heritage and creativity.

One of the highlights of the summer season is the Mano a Mano textile programme, a cultural initiative that celebrates traditional craftsmanship through textile artistry. It forms part of a larger series called Mano a Mano, which aims to showcase various artisanal crafts in episodes. This textile chapter, aptly named "de fibra y viento" (of fibre and wind), focuses on fabrics and weaving, emphasising the revival and importance of traditional textile techniques in a contemporary setting.

The programme features artisans who work with traditional textile crafts, such as fiber artists and weavers, highlighting the handcraftsmanship behind the textiles presented. While specific names of the artists are not detailed, they are skilled professionals in their respective fields.

The arches of Aletheia, installed throughout Las Rozas Village, are designed to reshape the public space and carry a deeper message of slowing down, honoring tradition, and embracing imperfection. These arches are inspired by kintsugi - the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold - and are designed to act as soft monuments to time, care, and sustainable practice. Aletheia's work uses natural dyes such as gardenia, madder root, plant tannins, and indigo to create colour gradients that shift with light and movement.

Regina Dejiménez is the lead artist for the programme, with her solo installation, The Nest Salon, taking over the Village's Glass House. The Nest Salon is a site-specific installation designed as a sanctuary dedicated to stillness, sensory connection, and interior harmony.

La Roca Village extends its opening hours until 10pm through July and August, offering visitors ample time to explore the vibrant dining scene. Options include Andreu's refreshing spritzes and tapas, Cèntric's ice cream terrace, Mordisco's live show-cooking, Mori by Parco's Asian fusion, and Corso Iluzione's aperitivo with live DJs.

In addition to the Mano a Mano textile programme, Las Rozas Village offers premium services such as Personal Shoppers, Hands-free Shopping, concierge support, Shopping Express® luxury coach, and can be planned via the La Rozas Village app. Leading brands like Marc Jacobs, Elisabettas Franchi, Havaianas, and Lindt are among those present at the village.

This summer, Las Rozas Village invites you to immerse yourself in a cultural celebration of heritage and creativity while enjoying a unique shopping and dining experience.
