Riverfront Celebration in Boppard 2025: Wine, Strolls, and Tunes on the Rhine River
The picturesque old town of Boppard, nestled among historical half-timbered houses and the Rhine river, is gearing up for a delightful wine festival. The Mittelrhein Weinfest Boppard is set to take place from September 26 to 29, 2025, and from October 3 to 5, 2025. This popular event in the region's calendar promises a memorable experience for wine enthusiasts and tourists alike.
Highlights of the festival include a grand procession with wine majesties and music, mesmerising fireworks by the Rhine, guided hikes, and a sophisticated Great Boppard Wine Tasting. The procession and fireworks will take place on September 27, 2025, at 4:30 PM and 9:15 PM respectively.
The Guided hike to the Riesling brunch will take place each Saturday at 10:30 AM, lasting approximately 3-4 hours. Another guided hike, the Guided wine hike to the Mandelstein hut, will take place each Saturday at 2 PM, lasting approximately 3 hours.
For those seeking a more refined wine tasting experience, the solemn Great Boppard Wine Tasting will feature ten exclusive wines and a sophisticated flying dinner. Former German Wine Princess Julia Lambrich will moderate the event, which will take place at the Bellevue Rheinhotel on October 2, 2025, at 6 PM. Admission to the Great Boppard Wine Tasting is priced at 90 Euro.
The ferry service between Boppard and Filsen will extend its operating hours on the wine festival Saturdays, making it easier for guests to explore the festival and the surrounding area. Guests are encouraged to use public transportation for arrival and departure at the Mittelrhein Weinfest Boppard.
