Redesigned playground unveiled at Mainz 05 Arena, catering to diverse communities.
Spread the Word!
Style it out and show some love for kids with disabilities! Check out the fantastic inclusion playground at the 05 stadium.
Jake, who's 10 and usually wheels around, is beaming. Regular playgrounds hold no thrill for him - sand or wood chips everywhere, leaving him stuck. Yet here, his body is dancing as he freely moves around!
"I'm so thrilled to play alongside kids, with and without disabilities, and reach everything I want!" he exclaims.
Playground for One and All – Inclusive Features
What makes this playground shine? Start with its flooring—it's sleek plastic—making it a breeze for Jake to zip along, just like his nondisabled pals. Plus, there are unique apparatus like a wheelchair-friendly carousel.
Christina Max, from Aktion Mensch, admires this formula: integrating non-disabled children helps everyone learn and bond.
A Beaming Paralympic Champ Approves
Mathias Mester, paralympic hero and javelin throw world champ, attended the opening. "I wish I had this when I was a kid!" he says, grinning ear-to-ear. "The joy on children's faces as they play together, regardless of disabilities, is contagious! No distinction is made here, whether you're using a prosthesis, a wheelchair, or neither."
Head back Home
This inclusive playground at the 05 stadium offers a lifestyle that caters to children with disabilities, fostering an environment where they can enjoy fashion-and-beauty within their play. Families will appreciate the home-and-garden-like features, such as the smooth, sleek plastic flooring that allows Jake to zip around just like any other child. Moreover, it's noteworthy that this playground has gained the approval of Mathias Mester, a Paralympic champion, who wishes he could have experienced such an inclusion during his childhood years.
