Aligning with the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) agenda on digital inclusion, GMEA@12 aims to highlight stories that promote technology-enabled grassroots development and inclusive digital access across the Philippines[1][2]. The awards ceremony will honour impactful journalism in various categories, including the Editor of the Year, Digital Storytelling (comprising Best Blog Post and Best Social Media Video), Integrated Media ( Online News Report of the Year, Photo of the Year, Radio News Report of the Year, and TV News Report of the Year), and the Globe of Good Story of the Year, previously known as Kwentong Tagumpay Community[1][2]. The Newsmaker of the Year category will also be featured.
Submissions for GMEA@12 should be work published or aired between September 2024 and August 2025. The submission portal will be live on July 30, 2025, on http://globe.com.ph. Entries will be judged based on content, storytelling style, impact, and integration[1][2].
