New Ownership and Refreshment at Bachhof Inn in Mainz-Hechtsheim

After a nearly year-long closure, the Bachhof Inn in Mainz-Hechtsheim is set to reopen its doors on August 1st, 2024, under new ownership. Nassim Walter and Victoria Pochec, a dedicated duo with a combined experience of over ten years in the industry, will take over the tavern.

In an interview with Merkurist, Nassim Walter, a certified grill master with kitchen experience since he was 15, and Victoria Pochec, a trained hotel manager, shared their plans for the inn. The new owners aim to bring something new while preserving the atmosphere of the inn.

The Bachhof Inn will continue to operate as a wine tavern, with an emphasis on maintaining its character, as emphasized by Victoria Pochec. To achieve this, they plan to refresh the inn, with new outdoor seating, revamped wooden surfaces, additional decoration, and minor modernizations. The building of the inn will remain largely unchanged.

The new menu will offer additional vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as red beet dumplings, vegan harvest stew, and vegan cheesecake. The inn will also continue to serve traditional German dishes, ensuring a diverse and appealing menu for all patrons.

Live music is planned for the opening event at the Bachhof Inn, promising an enjoyable and lively atmosphere. The inn's operation will resume from August 1st, with opening hours from Wednesday to Sunday, from 5 PM to 10 PM.

The previous owner, Barbara Stauder, wished for "gastronomes with heart and soul" to take over the inn. It seems that Nassim Walter and Victoria Pochec, with their passion for gastronomy, are the perfect fit.
