On September 21, 2025, the ada Meiningen Municipal Gallery invites you to an enlightening event titled "LOST IN THE SHADOWS, NEW IN THE LIGHT: Rediscoveries in Art & Mind". This event near me, launched by NEKST e.V., will take place at 3 PM.
The gallery, located at Bernhardstraße 3 in Meiningen, has been showcasing the summer exhibition "re:figuration" since late June. This exhibition features the artistic positions of Anna Grebner and Julia Burek, two talented artists whose works shape the space in two aspects: static elements and actions.
Julia Burek's work captures the external appearance, architecture, and atmosphere of locations, as well as lighting moods. On the other hand, Anna Grebner's work expresses social actions, materials, movement, and fluid, fleeting elements that determine the space.
The event will begin with a current exhibition tour, followed by suitable lectures and sometimes accompanying short or long workshops. Notable figures from international art and cultural history who have fallen into obscurity will be explored and presented, except for the current exhibition at ada Meiningen Municipal Gallery, which does not repeat this exploration and presentation.
Italian Baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi is the focus of a presentation on September 21, 2025. More information about the ada Meiningen Municipal Gallery can be found on their website www.meiningen.de/galerie-ada.
The gallery's opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 2 PM to 7:30 PM. Please note that the event at ada Meiningen Municipal Gallery does not include regular admission of 3 euros for the lecture, as mentioned earlier, but the opening hours and location are provided.
