Prolongation of the open-air swimming period in Dresden
In Dresden, the outdoor swimming season is being extended, and several swimming facilities have adjusted their hours of operation. Here's a rundown of the new schedules at some popular swimming spots in the city.
Starting from September 9, 2025, the Schwimmbad Klotzsche and the Nordbad Dresden will open their outdoor pools for the season. Both facilities will be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
The Buhlau Swimming Hall offers public swimming hours from 10 am to 9 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 6 pm on weekends and holidays. On Tuesdays and Fridays, early swimming is available at the Buhlau Swimming Hall from 6 am to 8 am (except Wednesdays).
The Freiberger Platz Swimming Sports Complex offers a variety of swimming times. From Monday to Friday, the Complex opens at 6 am for early swimming (except Wednesdays), followed by regular hours from 10 am to 10 pm. On Saturdays, the Complex is open from 10 am to 9 pm, while on Sundays and holidays, it is open from 10 am to 6 pm.
The Kombi Pool Prohlis offers flexible swimming hours. During the week, the pool is open from 10 am to 10 pm, and on weekends and holidays, it is open from 10 am to 6 pm. Early swimming is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the Kombi Pool Prohlis from 6 am to 8 am.
Tickets for all outdoor pools can be purchased at the pool cashier or in the web shop. During the extension, the Kombi Pool Prohlis, the Arnhold Bath, and the FFK Beach Bath Wostra will remain open. All other outdoor pools will close as planned on Sunday.
The Georg-Arnhold-Bad offers the same swimming schedule as the Kombi Pool Prohlis. Starting September 4th, indoor pool operations will return to regular hours at the Freiberger Platz Swimming Sports Complex.
Swimmers in Dresden can enjoy an extended swimming season with these updated schedules at their favourite pools. So, grab your swimsuits and head to the pool for a refreshing dip!
