Freakin' Rad Party Game "Krakel Orakel": Scribble Words on Wiggly Lines and Score Together

Hop on board, folks! Ditch the boring drawing games and jump into the realm of "Krakel Orakel"—a party game suitable for even those who struggle with a crude stick figure like me. The twist? Instead of raw creativity, you need to draw a given word along a maze of squiggly lines. Weird, right? But trust me, it leads to a good ol' laugh-fest after each round, and let's face it, the points aren't the main draw. The 2-minute timer, however, might be a bummer for some...

Okay, now let's get down to it. Here's the nitty-gritty on the Krakel Orakel's rules:

  1. Yo, gather your squad. From 2 to 8 players can join in the fun.
  2. Each of you gets a desk + eraser. Like interior design, but irreversible.
  3. Lines & Words. Divide these guys: every player gets a unique set with two types of dotted lines: simple and challenging ones. Oh, and secret word cards are also dealt, ranging from white (simple) to black (difficult).
  4. Set your timer. Let the excitement build by counting down from 2 minutes before you start jotting down your words.
  5. Some words look like crap, and that's okay. When those tics hit, remember, you're just doing your best! Focus on the lines, not the beauty of your creation.
  6. All cards displayed. Time's up? Put every card in the center. Now, it's time for great deductions.
  7. Guessing games. In round-robin fashion, each player tries to eliminate words they don't think belong to any drawings. If their guess matches a drawing, unnecessary points are lost.
  8. More words = more points. After elimination, new secret words are added, and the process repeats—until one player racks up enough points to claim the victory.

My Take: Scribbles for the non-skilled artists! I give "Krakel Orakel" 5 out of 6 dice eyes.
