Over 1200 parking spots readied for the "Topor" event in Tomsk

The picturesque village of Zorkalcevo is gearing up for the 16th edition of the "Prazdnik Topora" folk craft festival, which will take place from August 16 to 24 in the rural park "Okolitsa."

Organisers have made significant arrangements to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Here's what you need to know:

Traffic Scheme: To accommodate the event and ensure pedestrian safety, certain roads around Zorkalcevo may be closed or restricted. Traffic diversions will be put in place, with signs directing drivers to alternative routes. It's recommended to check the local municipality's announcements or official festival communications for exact details on road closures and timing.

Parking: A total of 1600 parking spaces have been prepared for the festival. 400 parking spaces have been organised on the side of the central entrance, and an additional 800 spaces have been arranged on the side of the Shegar highway for the convenience of guests. Parking might be limited, so arriving early or using public transport is advisable.

Food Stalls: Visitors can expect a variety of food stalls offering traditional local cuisine, snacks, and beverages. The festival will feature 65 food stalls, ensuring that there's something for everyone.

Changes in Bus Routes: Local bus routes serving Zorkalcevo may be temporarily altered to facilitate participant and visitor movement or to avoid closed streets. Checking updated schedules from the regional transport authority prior to arrival is recommended.

Other Measures: For the comfort and safety of all festival-goers, the area has been treated for ticks.

For the most current and detailed information—including exact dates, official schedules, and contact points—consulting the official festival website, local government bulletins, or tourist information centers is the best approach.

Larisa Vazhova, head of the Tomsk region's Department of Culture, stated that additional parking spaces have been organised to accommodate the expected influx of visitors.

So, mark your calendars and get ready to immerse yourself in the rich traditions, music, and culture of the 16th "Prazdnik Topora" folk craft festival in Zorkalcevo. We look forward to seeing you there!
