Organ Transplantation at St. Boniface Hospital

In the heart of Wiesbaden, the St. Bonifatius Catholic Church has announced a comprehensive fundraising campaign for the replacement of its outdated organ system. The existing organ, with parts dating back to pre-war times, has significant defects and requires modernization to improve its functionality, sound quality, and maintenance.

The parish, along with the wider Wiesbaden community, hopes for many supporters to contribute to this worthy cause. The cost of the new organ system is estimated at 3.2 million euros, and the parish itself will contribute 500,000 euros towards this expense.

The international tender for the new organ was won by the renowned firm Klais. The new organ system will consist of a main organ on the balcony and a choir organ, with approximately 5,000 pipes. A unique feature of the new organ system is its design to create a "surround sound" effect, enhancing the musical experience for both performers and listeners.

Citizens, businesses, and institutions are invited to provide support for this project. Donations can be made anonymously or with acknowledgment, and a donation account has been set up. Information on donation options can be found on the parish's website.

For those who wish to play a more active role in the new organ's creation, sponsorship opportunities are available. Donors have the opportunity to sponsor organ pipes, with contributions ranging from 50 to 15,000 euros. An additional cost of 10,000 euros will secure an inscription for sponsors.

The parish decided to build a new organ after careful consideration, as the renewal of the existing organ was no longer economically viable. The new organ system is expected to first sound in 2029, bringing a fresh symphony to the hallowed halls of St. Bonifatius.

The parish looks forward to the support of the Wiesbaden community in this exciting venture. Together, we can create a new musical chapter for St. Bonifatius Catholic Church.
