Oppumer Mill's Anniversary Ends with Colorful Light Show

The Oppumer mill, a local landmark, was illuminated for 90 minutes last Sunday evening, showcasing various colors and effects. This spectacle marked the end of the mill's anniversary year, which saw increased visitor engagement and access to its mechanics.

Visitors were able to explore the mill from 2 PM onwards, with the mill's inner workings open to the public for the first time. The Mill Association, which maintains the mill, expressed gratitude to all visitors, helpers, and sponsors for their support throughout the anniversary year.

Following the final season closure on October 25, the mill will enter a period of hibernation. During this time, members of the Mill Association will clean and perform minor repairs to ensure its readiness for the next season. Guided tours, which resume in May 2026, will be held on the first Sunday of each month.

The Oppumer mill's anniversary year concluded with a dazzling display, leaving visitors with a memorable experience. As the mill hibernates, preparations for its reopening in May 2026 are underway, ensuring that this historic landmark continues to captivate and educate visitors.
