Premier Inn Hotel to Make its Debut in Halle, Germany
The city of Halle is set to welcome its first international hotel chain with the construction of a Premier Inn Hotel. The topping-out ceremony for this new addition to the city's landscape is scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025, at Kapellengasse 1.
This significant event is being jointly hosted by Saalesparkasse and GP Günter Papenburg AG. The architectural firm, Schneider + Schumacher, is responsible for the design of the hotel, which will be located near the Opera House and is part of a larger urban development project in Halle, including the renovation of Kapellengasse.
The Premier Inn Hotel will boast a total of 170 rooms, a conference room capable of accommodating up to 150 people, a restaurant, a bar, and a rooftop terrace offering a stunning view of the Opera House. Sustainability is a key focus, with the hotel aiming for a LEED Gold certification for its sustainable construction and operation.
The construction of the hotel is anticipated to create around 50 new jobs in Halle. The project is expected to be completed in late 2025.
Notable attendees at the topping-out ceremony will include the Mayor of Halle, Dr. Alexander Vogt, Dr. Jürgen Fox, the CEO of Saalesparkasse, and Stefan Brunsch, the branch manager of GP Papenburg Hochbau GmbH.
This new hotel is more than just a place to rest your head. It's a symbol of growth and development for the city of Halle, further cementing its position as a vibrant and dynamic destination. The topping-out ceremony marks the completion of the raw construction work, bringing us one step closer to the grand opening of the Premier Inn Hotel.
