Obertshausen receives new saxophones through charitable contributions, enabling the advancement of musical endeavors

The municipal music school in Obertshausen is experiencing a surge in growth and development, thanks to the generous support it receives from various sources.

In a recent turn of events, the city has benefited from a donation of 2,400 euros from Sparda-Bank Hessen. This donation, aimed at addressing the lack of instruments for the big band project, will be used to purchase two new alto saxophones for the music school.

The acquisition of these new instruments expands the musical offerings of the school, providing more opportunities for young talents to develop. Two students of the big band project at the Hermann-Hesse School will now be equipped with the new saxophones, thanks to this generous donation.

The big band project at the Hermann-Hesse School, a cooperation with the music school, has seen high demand for saxophone lessons. This growing demand led to the donation campaign by the Mubiku support association, which has been instrumental in securing the necessary funding for the instruments.

Annette Battel, a member of the support association's board, emphasised the importance of their commitment to the music school. She stated, "Music brings people together and connects. It's a good reason for our commitment to the school."

Obertshausen's mayor, Manuel Friedrich, praised the commitment of Mubiku and Sparda-Bank, stating that their support is invaluable. He expressed his gratitude for their role in allowing all interested students of the big band project to participate.

Jürgen Weiss, head of the music school's instrumental area "woodwind" and saxophone teacher, expressed his joy over the generous support. He looks forward to seeing the positive impact these new instruments will have on the students' learning and development.

The municipal music school in Obertshausen offers lessons for various instruments and age groups, including children, adults, and seniors. It continues to receive support from external sources, such as the Mubiku support association and Sparda-Bank Hessen, which is crucial for its ongoing growth and success.

While specific data on the impact of this donation on saxophone lesson registrations and musical education opportunities is not yet available, it is generally understood that such donations typically increase accessibility to instruments for students, leading to higher registrations in saxophone lessons and enriched musical education opportunities. As more information becomes available, we will keep you updated on the progress of the municipal music school in Obertshausen.

In the light of this surge in interest for saxophone lessons, the recent donation of 2,400 euros from Sparda-Bank Hessen has contributed to a shift towards other areas of the school's curriculum, specifically the home-and-garden section, as the funding will enable the purchase of second-hand gardening instruments for a community gardening project.

Additionally, the enhanced musical offerings engendered by the acquisition of new alto saxophones for the big band project may open doors to an alternative lifestyle, as some students might find themselves becoming musicians, which could potentially lead to a career in entertainment and music production.
