New ownership for the Schönthal mother-child collective announced
The Schönthal Mother-Child Group, a cherished part of the local community, recently held a heartfelt farewell event for four children who are moving on to kindergarten. Over the years, the group has provided a nurturing environment for these children, fostering a sense of community and offering numerous opportunities for creative development and social interaction.
Under the leadership of Kerstin Riederer, the Schönthal Mother-Child Group organised a variety of themed activities, including celebrations for St. Martin's Day, the visit of St. Nicholas, and an Easter egg hunt. These events were always memorable highlights, bringing joy and excitement to the children.
As part of the farewell ceremony, the children received a school bag as a gift, symbolising their next step in life. This small gesture was a testament to the group's commitment to supporting their members, even as they move on to new beginnings.
Joint crafting activities were another essential part of the Schönthal Mother-Child Group, contributing significantly to the children's creative development. These activities fostered a spirit of camaraderie, as the children worked together on various projects, developing friendships and learning valuable teamwork skills.
Sadly, the Schönthal Mother-Child Group concluded its operations at the end of July, marking the end of an era for the local community and its youngest members. The group's closure leaves a void that will be hard to fill, but the memories and friendships formed during its time will remain cherished.
As we bid farewell to the Schönthal Mother-Child Group, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Kerstin Riederer for her dedication and leadership. We wish the transitioning children all the best as they embark on their new journey, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will undoubtedly make in their new environment.
