Professional Kite Flyers Exhibit Skills at the Annual Beach Kite Festival in Norden-Norddeich
A spectacle of giant animal figures, traditional Chinese kites, and unique creations will grace the skies above the Norddeich district of Norden (part of Aurich) at the annual Beach Kite Festival from Ascension Day through Sunday. Participating will be kite flyers from around the globe, showcasing their artistic aerobatics in a series of choreographed performances. Over 100 professional kite flyers and thousands of visitors are anticipated.
Setting the Stage for an Illuminated Night Sky
The festival commenced on Ascension Day with bright sunshine, drawing many spectators to the festival grounds early on. The festival's pièce de résistance takes place on Saturday evening, featuring illuminated kites adorned with special effects that will illuminate the night sky in a captivating Night Flight Show. The event is coordinated by the Tourism Service Norden-Norddeich.
