News Article: Celebrate Día de Muertos at Übersee-Museum Bremen on November 2nd

Join the vibrant celebration of Día de Muertos at the Übersee-Museum Bremen on November 2nd. This year's event is a collaboration with Asociacion Cultural Mexicano-Alemana "Tiahui" (ACuMAT), the Honorary Consulate of Mexico in Bremen, and the Tiahui Mexico dance group.

From 5 PM to 10 PM, visitors can immerse themselves in the rich Mexican culture as they explore beautifully decorated altars, take part in various hands-on workshops, and enjoy traditional dance performances.

The workshops offer a unique opportunity to create Cempasúchil paper flowers, paint paper skulls with acrylic paint, or design marionettes of skulls. For a touch of personalisation, guests can have their faces painted as Calaveras (skulls).

The evening's entertainment includes several dance performances, such as the Tecuan dance, La Bruja dance, and the Dance of the Weeping Women (La Llorona), culminating in a musical and dance finale: the Dance of the Calaveras.

A short tour and lecture will provide insights into the traditions surrounding the Mexican Day of the Dead. However, for the most up-to-date program and activity details, we recommend checking the museum’s official website or contacting them directly as we could not find specific and current event information in our search.
