Liepāja Museum Presents 'Tactile Baltics', the Largest Baltic Design Exhibition in a Decade
The Liepāja Museum Foundation presents 'Tactile Baltics', the largest exhibition of Baltic contemporary graphic design to date. Running until 15 October 2025, it showcases works from 19 designers across Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The event aims to revive interest in Latvian contemporary design and prevent designers' names from fading from public memory, following the last significant exhibition, 'Design Manifestation', a decade ago.
The exhibition, open until 3 September, blends traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, reflecting the unique Nordic yet emotionally rich signature of Baltic graphic design. It explores themes of identity, ecology, and cultural heritage, with each piece telling a story deeply felt by its creator. After debuting at Milan Design Week, the world's biggest design event, 'Tactile Baltics' brings these achievements home to Liepāja, solidifying Latvia's place on the world graphic design map.
'Tactile Baltics' in Liepāja offers a rare opportunity to appreciate the fusion of tradition and innovation in Baltic contemporary graphic design. With works from across the Baltics, it revives local interest and showcases our designers' talent on the global stage.
