Community Disco at Kappelhof Brings People Together

The 14th edition of the inclusive disco at Kappelhof, a residential facility in Pforzheim, was a resounding success. Organized by DJ Bernd Czora, the event brought together people with and without disabilities to enjoy a night of dancing, music, and camaraderie.

The disco featured a mix of current chart hits and old rock classics, catering to a wide range of musical tastes. Pforzheim pop singer Jörg Augenstein performed live, adding an extra touch of excitement to the evening. The Kappelhof house was illuminated with colorful lights, creating a vibrant atmosphere that was hard to resist.

The event, held under the motto "We dance together," was not just a one-off occasion. It is part of a regular social engagement aimed at promoting inclusion and fostering a sense of community. In fact, the disco at Kappelhof is a recurring event, held every few months to maintain regular social engagement.

The Sparkasse Pforzheim-Calw has supported the disco with both money and personnel for many years. This support has been instrumental in making the event a success. The financing for the event comes primarily from drink sales and the Sparkasse Pforzheim-Calw as a sponsor.

Guests for the disco came from various locations, including Illingen, Mühlacker, Enz district, and Karlsruhe. Approximately 150 people attended the disco, including those with and without disabilities. Dance school Böhm performed a lively hip-hop dance at the disco, adding to the entertainment.

Gabi and Juan from the Lebenshilfe, a local disability support group, attended the disco and enjoyed it. In fact, this is not the first time Gabi and Juan have attended a disco at Kappelhof. They traveled by bus from their residential group in Arlinger to the Oststadt for the disco.

The disco is held in a community area within the Kappelhof residential facility. Some cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks were available at the bar, along with butter pretzels.
