Holiday initiative: Job center distributes approximately 500 presents to children
The Vohwinkel branch of the Toys Company will be closing its doors by the end of the year, following a reduction in funding. This news comes as the company, led by project leader Sascha von Schwedler, focuses on developing a future-proof new business structure.
However, the TBS toy collection will continue, with a new location at the Barmen branch of the Toys Company. The collection of well-preserved toys will take place at the disposal center Bärenloch, located on Cronenberger Straße 177. The toy collection container will be accessible during the opening hours of the EBZ (Monday to Friday 7:30 to 15:45 and Saturday 7:30 to 12:15).
In a positive move, the company's employees have been encouraging their offspring to donate toys to the TBS collection. The aim is to make other children happy and potentially benefit the customers of the Solingen job center in the near future.
It's worth noting that the details regarding the 2025 Solingen toy drive's schedule, location, and distribution plans are not yet verified. For accurate and up-to-date information, it is recommended to consult local Solingen community websites, social service organizations, or official city communications closer to the event date.
Despite the closure of the Vohwinkel branch, the staff at the Barmen location will be reduced to a quarter of the previous staff, with Sascha von Schwedler and his team working diligently to ensure a smooth transition and continued service to the community.
Sascha von Schwedler and his team at the Barmen branch of the Toys Company are working to adapt the company's focus, shifting from home-and-garden and shopping to cater more towards the TBS toy collection, mirroring their initiative for the Solingen toy drive. The employees are fostering a lifestyle of giving by encouraging their children to donate toys to the TBS collection, aiming to bring joy to other children and potentially assist the Solingen job center's customers.
