Heading to Düsseldorf
After a hiatus due to relevant ordinances, the Düsseldorf holiday program for children and young people is making a comeback this summer. The city's Youth Office, in collaboration with free carriers and local youth associations, has put together a diverse and coronavirus-compliant program for the upcoming summer holidays.
The program offers one-, two-, or three-week opportunities for children and young people to meet and exchange ideas. The daily core time for the program is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants must be tested or present a corresponding certificate.
The program includes a variety of activities such as sports and movement, art and media, adventures, and creative opportunities. The Düsseldorf adventure playgrounds will again offer special activities, including hammering, sawing, digging, building huts, dealing with animals, and nature experiences.
Some of the central highlights of the program include trying out parcour offered by the Evangelical Youth in Düsseldorf and participating in knightly games. Registrations for the program are possible from Saturday, June 12, 10 a.m., with the respective carriers of the measure. Approximately 3,500 places are available for this program.
The participation cost is 35 euros per week and child, but it's 17 euros per week and child for Düsseldorf pass holders. An exception to the registration process is for the "Düsseldorfchen", which is organized by Akki and only allows online booking.
City Director Burkhard Hintzsche has expressed gratitude to the free carriers and youth associations for putting together a varied and coronavirus-compliant program at short notice. The offers for 2021 are mostly local due to short notice.
For more information about the program, interested parties can contact the youth center zeTT at the main station (telephone 8922033). It's worth noting that there is no direct listing or official program for Düsseldorf youth summer holidays in 2021 online, but detailed information can be found at the youth center zeTT.
Children and young people will find a variety of activities in the home-and-garden segment of the Düsseldorf summer program, including working with materials and building huts in adventure playgrounds. The diverse lifestyle offerings of the program will cater to their interests, allowing them to explore and create with hands-on activities.
