Goood & One Earth One Ocean: Every Kilo of Dog Food Cleans 2kg of Ocean Plastic

Goood, a sustainable pet food company, has teamed up with One Earth One Ocean, a charity dedicated to eradicating ocean plastic. For every kilogram of Goood's seafood recipe dog food sold, two kilograms of plastic waste will be removed from the ocean. This innovative partnership aims to clean up our seas while promoting sustainable practices.

One Earth One Ocean, the beneficiary of Goood's initiative, is not just focused on plastic removal. The charity also engages in oil purification, microplastics research, education, and documentation on marine littering. Their mission is to encourage positive behavior change regarding plastic use and promote a cleaner, healthier ocean.

The charity operates three vessels - the Sea Hamster, SeeKuh, and SeeElefant - to collect ocean plastic. The collected waste is then recycled or converted into sulphur-free heating oil. Impressively, approximately 900 liters of oil can be recovered from just one ton of plastic.

Goood, besides its ocean conservation efforts, also supports other organizations. It contributes to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and engages in initiatives that promote inclusion, education, and health of children and youth through sport and education-related activities.

Through its partnership with One Earth One Ocean, Goood is not only providing sustainable pet food but also actively contributing to ocean conservation. For every kilogram of its seafood recipe dog food sold, two kilograms of plastic waste are removed from the ocean. This innovative approach to corporate social responsibility is a win-win for both pets and the planet.
