Giant Superyacht Debuts from Riva's Dock
The Ferretti Group, a brand established by Pietro Riva in 1842, has launched its largest superyacht to date - the Riva 54 Metri. This 54-meter vessel, boasting an aluminium hull and superstructure, is a testament to Riva's expansion into larger superyachts while maintaining its distinctive sporty, sleek profile.
The Riva 54 Metri spans four decks and offers generous living quarters that can accommodate up to 10 passengers in four guest cabins. The main deck features a welcome area equipped with a large sofa, armchairs, and an outdoor bar. The interiors are adorned with fine marble, natural teak, and leather, emphasizing understated elegance with a focus on acoustic insulation for quiet cruising.
The first unit of the Riva 54 Metri is finished in a combination of Moon Gray, London Gray, and Bright Black, with detailing in polished steel. The crew quarters comprise five double cabins and a captain's cabin, providing accommodation for up to 11.
One of the standout features of the Riva 54 Metri is the hydraulic platform and transformer platform at the stern, which unfolds to access a beach club area with a 16-foot long pool and sun loungers. Both hull sides in the beach club and main deck cockpit fold out to create waterside terraces. The bow of the vessel is adorned with two large sun pads that can be raised to accommodate tenders and toys.
The stern of the Riva 54 Metri has a wide walkway leading to a plush beach area. The cruiser maintains comfortable cruising speeds around 14 knots, although top speeds have not been publicly disclosed. The vessel is powered by twin inboard engines - commonly twin 1,700 hp MTU 12V 2000 M86 engines or 1,800 hp MTUs depending on configuration.
Riva is planning to launch another 54 Metri in 2026 and 2027, respectively. The Italian shipyard is also working on a longer superyacht, the 70 Metri, but has not yet set a delivery date for it.
