Garbsen's Blossom Strips Initiative Transforms 6500 sqm into Wildlife Haven

Garbsen's blossom stripes action has flourished, with 6500 square meters of land planted. The initiative, led by Mayor Claudio Provenzano, aims to create habitats for insects and beetles, supporting the local ecosystem.

The action involves planting long-blooming seeds, such as sunflowers, buckwheat, oil radish, and Alexandrian clover, at the edges of agricultural areas. These plants provide food and shelter for insects, which in turn support other creatures in the food chain. The project has been a success, with 6500 square meters of land transformed into vibrant, wildlife-friendly spaces.

Those interested in joining the next blossom stripes action can contact the environmental department. Reach out via email at klimaundumwelt@our website or call 0 51 31 70 73 86.

Mayor Claudio Provenzano expresses gratitude to all participants. The blossom stripes action not only enhances Garbsen's beauty but also makes it more livable for both humans and animals.
