Fall festival in Giessen kicks off September 27th
The much-anticipated Giessen Autumn Fair is set to return from September 27th to October 5th, 2025. This vibrant event, located at Ringallee, promises a colorful carnival experience for all ages, filled with thrilling rides, sweet treats, and special attractions.
The fair kicks off officially on September 27th at 1:45 PM, with Mayor Frank-Tilo Becher leading the opening ceremony. On this day, all rides will be free between 2:00 and 2:30 PM, offering a taste of the excitement to come.
One of the highlights of the fair is the creative pumpkin carving session with Clown Ichmael from the Circus Tent, taking place on October 2nd from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This is a perfect opportunity for young fair visitors to unleash their creativity.
For families, October 2nd is a special day at the fair, known as Family Day. Amusement rides are 50% off, walking and show attractions are 20% off, and at least 20% discount is offered on three selected articles or offers at other stands.
The fair also offers a diverse range of attractions, including Robotix, Music Express, ghost train, Frisbee, children's roller coaster 'Die verrückte Baustelle', carousel '1001 Nights', and Baby Flug.
On Family Day, volunteers will also be celebrated. They will receive benefits such as a free ride on the Ferris Wheel and a small snack. Tuesday, September 30th, is Volunteer Day, with volunteers showing their card at the Ferris Wheel receiving a free ride for themselves and a companion, along with a small snack.
The fair promises to end with a bang, with a grand fireworks display scheduled for October 2nd, although the exact time is yet to be announced. On Thursday, October 2nd, a spectacular fireworks display is also planned, but the specific date is not mentioned in the text.
