Electric travel trailers exclusively from America expand their offerings with the introduction of two novel models
New Lightship Travel Trailers to Launch in 2026
Lightship, the innovative RV manufacturer, is set to release two new travel trailers – the AE.1 Atmos and the AE.1 Panos – catering to different traveler needs and price points. The AE.1 Atmos will begin deliveries in Spring 2026, priced at $184,000, while the more affordable AE.1 Panos will follow in late 2026, starting at $151,000.
Both trims follow the sold-out AE.1 Cosmos Edition and are designed with Lightship’s proprietary TrekDrive vehicle assist system. This intelligent system supports the tow vehicle by sensing acceleration, braking, and cornering forces to improve efficiency and performance.
The AE.1 Atmos comes equipped with a 77kWh battery and 1.8kW of integrated solar roof panels, ensuring ample power for off-grid adventures. On the other hand, the AE.1 Panos has a reduced battery capacity of 44kWh and halved solar panels compared to the AE.1 Atmos. Certain parts of the premium towing system in the Panos model are also optional.
The main sleeping space in the Panos model is fixed and not convertible into a lounge area, whereas the AE.1 Atmos offers more flexibility. The bathroom in the AE.1 Atmos occupies a full-width slot at the rear of the trailer. Both models sleep a maximum of four people.
Exterior colour options for the AE.1 Atmos include muted grey-greens (ShadeMoss), brown (GraniteBraun), and a traditional trailer white (SnowLine). The Panos model offers only one nautical blue trim with red detailing. The interior of the AE.1 Atmos offers four color combinations with a vaguely mid-century focus, while the Panos model has a single interior option.
Standard equipment for the AE.1 Atmos includes a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and various onboard sensors for the TrekDrive system. The dishwasher is not included in the standard equipment for the Panos model. Both models come with towing technology such as powered stabilizers, an auto-levelling system, and an all-round 'LookOut' camera system.
An optional motorized awning is available for both the AE.1 Atmos and Panos models, providing additional outdoor living space. The AE.1 Atmos will start delivery in Spring 2026, while the Panos model will follow later in the year.
These new travel trailers from Lightship represent the company’s vision of sustainable travel, providing electric RV options that cater to a broader audience beyond the premium Cosmos Edition.
