Election Sunday to feature Women's Parade Debut
Lünen, Germany - The Equal Opportunities and Women's Office of the City of Lünen is set to launch a new initiative called "Walk & Talk," designed to facilitate connections and idea exchange among women and girls in a relaxed atmosphere.
The first event will premiere on Sunday, 14th September 2025, with subsequent meetings scheduled for the second Sunday of each month in 2025. Participation in these events is free, and registration is not required.

The meetings will take place at 3 pm on various locations around Lünen. On the 14th September, the meeting point will be Car park REWE Horstmar (Baukelweg). On the 12th October, participants will gather at Car park Cappenberger See (Wehrenboldstraße), and on the 14th December, the meeting point will be Car park LünTec (Am Brambusch).
Each walk will last approximately one to one and a half hours, and they will take place at a normal walking pace through the surroundings of Lünen. The aim of these events is to encourage conversations and build a supportive community for women and girls in the city.
While no direct connection has been found for the "Walk & Talk" offering in Lünen, a similar initiative related to self-help for people with anxiety disorders is noted in Dortmund.
