Elderly Bi-Wa Residents Host Gathering, Involved in Citizen Shooting Incident during Pentecost Celebration
Get Ready for a Lively Time at Bi-Wa Altenkrempe's Annual Carnival!
Here's a heads-up for the folks in Altenkrempe and visitors alike—the vibrant Bi-Wa Carnival Club is inviting everyone to join their traditional citizens' bird shooting bash on the BCG Altenkrempe sports field, making this year extra special as it's their anniversary!
Put on your sunnies and festival spirit because the fun kicks off on Whit Sunday, June 8. The spirited parade commences at 10:30 AM, right from the church square in front of the basilica on Milchstraße. The lively tunes of the music corps from the local volunteer fire department of the Gemeinde Grömitz and the show band and fanfare corps of Neustadt will accompany this dazzling display. Get set to see numerous guests, flag groups, and friendly clubs join in the fun!
The parade will pick up the 2024 Citizen Queen, Janne Langtim, and the 2025 club king couple will be part of the procession too. By the way, the new club king couple will be crowned during internal club games on the previous day.
Following the parade, Bi-Wa Altenkrempe serves up a delicious spread of pea soup, along with fries, grilled sausage, meat, cold drinks, cakes, and coffee on the festive grounds.
From 2 PM, enjoy the colorful afternoon with a concert by the music corps, a variety of games suitable for both young and old (such as bowling, goal shooting, air rifle shooting, and face painting), the kindergarten's performance, and a tombola organized by local businesses.
Two exciting highlights await you: The king's shooting is open to adults aged 18 and over, where everyone can take a shot at the wooden bird with a crossbow. On a brand new note, a youth king's shooting for those aged 12 and over will also take place, where participants get to shoot a smaller wooden bird with an air rifle.
The king's shot is scheduled for 6 PM, alongside the new 2025 Citizen King and 2025 Youth King. As the sun sets, get ready to party in high spirits.
Starting at 8 PM, the festival tent will transform into a pulsating party zone with "Pfingstparty total with Music Royal." The beats will be set by none other than DJ Florian Albrecht, keeping the energy high throughout the night.
