Discovered: Three Fresh Drinking Water Sources for Düsseldorf's Infrastructure

On Tuesday, the 25th of June, fresh drinking water will be available near the Garath S-Bahn station.

In coordination with the national Heat Action Day on the following day, additional water sources will also be accessible in Unterbilk, with a fountain added to the church square, and water drawable from Fürstenplatz in Friedrichstadt.

Designated as "continuous runners," these city installations circulate 1.5 liters of water every minute, effectively preventing the accumulation of bacteria.

The full extent of these "continuous runner fountains" within the city of Düsseldorf remains unspecified. Notably, Düsseldorf boasts picturesque parks and waterways such as the Nördliche Düssel, a tributary river providing scenic views and photography opportunities.

For more comprehensive information about the city's water supply system or specific fountains, consultation of local resources or the city's official tourism and infrastructure websites is advised.

As the city of Düsseldorf prepares for the national Heat Action Day, it's important to note that lifestyle changes, such as enhancing home-and-garden spaces, are encouraged to conserve water. With various installations like the continuous runner fountains, residents can enjoy fresh water in parks and gardens, like those along the Nördliche Dussel, adding to its picturesque home-and-garden appeal.
