Nestled in the heart of London, Cicchetti Piccadilly, a restaurant by the San Carlo Group, has moved to a new location. The new venue, designed by the London and LA-based Fettle, offers a unique dining experience that transports patrons to the enchanting city of Venice.
The design inspiration behind Cicchetti Piccadilly draws from Venetian architecture, the city’s iconic sunsets at dusk, and the cultural festivities of Venice, such as the Carnevale. The interior uses a warm palette featuring pink and yellow hues to evoke the "magic of dusk" along Venice’s waterways.
Key design elements include mirrored tiles and verre églomisé mural panels, which reflect light and soften the ceiling, creating a Venetian ambiance. The space also features painted timber panels, pink and red mosaic tiles, geometric upholstery, and terrazzo flooring. The main dining area boasts vibrant yellow walls, while the bar area exudes a theatrical ambience with its high-gloss timber front, red and pink mosaic tiles, and chequered pink upholstery on the bar stools.
Fettle, a longtime collaborator with the San Carlo Group, was responsible for transforming Cicchetti Piccadilly's interiors with a contemporary but playful and inviting aesthetic that balances the San Carlo brand’s legacy with modern Italian elegance.
The food at Cicchetti Piccadilly consists of expertly prepared Italian classics. A popular starter is the stylish tempura prawns, served in a cocktail glass with spicy mayonnaise. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including pane and bruschetta, fritti, stuzzichini, salads, pasta, pizza, meats, fish, and vegetables. The team recommends ordering two to three dishes per person and sharing them as they become ready. The portions are generously sized.
The dessert menu includes the Dolci Cicchetti, a selection of mini bites accompanied by a glass of limoncello. As the evening progresses, the warm, inviting atmosphere of Cicchetti Piccadilly provides the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
