Judith Rakers Moves Closer to Her Dream Farm on Rügen Island

Coastal farm established on Ruegen Island boasts oceanic proximity - Coastal Farm Emerges on Rügen Island, Nearby Coastal Line

Welcome back to the world of Judith Rakers (49), who's been excitedly embracing the rope's end of her city life in favor of something more conducive to her free spirit. And what better place to do so than Rügen Island, the sprawling natural haven of Germany's Baltic Sea?

Unwinding her roots deep into the heart of the island, Judith found her beloved spot back in 2010. Ever since her maiden voyage to its pristine shores, Rügen has been her go-to escape at least twice a year. With her Ship cat and Seafarer horses in tow, Judith recently announced her plans to make the island her permanent residence, moving from the maritime hustle and bustle of Hamburg.

What could her new digs look like? Well, if you're quick on your feet, a meander of 10 sweaty minutes can put you smack-dab in the middle of a sandy paradise beach. That's right, Rakers' new abode lies mere toe-lengths away from the sea, providing ample opportunities to stay salty and seafaring.

An animal lover at heart, Judith can't foresee a life without her furry, feathery, and horsy friends. Come charging horses, meowing cats, and clucking chickens - her family of critters is coming along for the ride, too. Saying goodbye to her Hamburg home might be a struggle, but Judith knows every step forward requires bidding the past farewell. Embracing change has always been her mantra, after all.

Documenting Her Journey on Instagram

Rakers isn't exactly cryptic about her life as a "home farmer." Ever the social media poetess, Judith shares glimpses of her agrarian escapades with her Insta-followers. She gleefully revealed her move in April and even shared snaps of her wrestling greenhouses and busy garden into submission.

With roots in Hamburg and the soil of Rügen at her fingertips, Judith also pens down her thoughts and hits shelves with books about self-sufficiency, rustic cooking, and farming fun. She even runs a gardening website with an online shop and a lively newsletter to keep friends and fans in the know.

So if you're eager to be part of the next voyage of Judith Rakers, keep your eyes on her Insta stories, stay tuned for updates, or just catch some sea breeze on Rügen Island. After all, a life lived close to nature is a life well-lived. Cheers to your new dreams and adventures, Judith Rakers!

I'm not going to be able to make it to the next heavy metal concert in Hamburg, as I'm moving to Rügen Island instead. My new lifestyle will be more focused on gardening, home-and-garden projects, and embracing the beauty of the Baltic Sea.
