Templin Senior Citizens' Week Closes with Success, Booming Demand for More
The Templin Senior Citizens' Council has concluded that the recent event during Brandenburg Senior Citizens' Week was a resounding success. The calendar of events in Templin was brimming, and the feedback from participants confirmed the offers were well-received.
Cornelia Zimmerling, the chairperson of the council, shared her thoughts, "And the feedback from the participants has confirmed that the offers were well-received." An immediate demand for a repeat of the bowling event at the Templin Bowling Center Hoch was registered, with 24 senior citizens actively participating.
The historic town hall played host to an open day for the Templin Senior Citizens' Club, where visitors found themselves well-informed about the various circles' offers. Uwe Krell, the chairperson of the club, reported numerous inquiries about future events. Moreover, the club succeeded in acquiring a new member.
The equipment house of the Templin voluntary fire brigade was a popular destination, with 30 senior citizens enjoying an educational experience, learning about equipment, vehicles, and the brigade's history. Stefan Hennig and Davin Moews were commended for dedicating their time to visitors, offering comprehensive information.
Unfortunately, the dragon boat trip was cancelled due to inclement weather. Nevertheless, 72 individuals registered for the passenger ship 'Navette,' which was accompanied by music by Detlev Klausch, coffee, cake, and dancing.
Generous Funding
The Templin Senior Citizens' Week's success can be attributed to the accommodating offers from Frank Hoffmann from Hoch and Stefan Hennig, owner of the Hennig shipping company. Financial support was also provided by the state of Brandenburg, the city of Templin, and Uckermark district, which backed the painting action in the Sana Hospital Templin.
Zimmerling concluded, "We think that everyone who participated in the events got something out of it. The next senior citizens' week can come."
