Celebration of Italian Culture at Joseph-Beuys Bank in Dusseldorf
The vibrant city of Düsseldorf is set to host the D'Italia Festival 2025, a three-day extravaganza of music, dance, culinary delights, and Italian joie de vivre. The festival, taking place at the Joseph Beuys Ufer from June 13th to 15th, 2025, will be free for admission all days.
The festival's organiser, Lidia Di Raimondo, emphasises the popularity of Italian food, wine, and culture. Visitors can expect Italian table decorations and vehicles integrated into the festival, promising an authentic Italian atmosphere.
The festival will kick off in Palermo, Italy, with artist Walter Maria Padao creating the first part of his new art project at Villa Tasca. The work will be completed in Düsseldorf in September and showcased at the third edition of the festival, which focuses on theater and education.
The lineup for the festival is impressive, featuring around 30 artists. Highlights include the poetic indie-folk duo Sleepwalkers feat. Daniel Del Valle (vocals) and Jacopo Cavoli (trumpet), who will present their Mediterranean sounds. Italian entertainer Giovanni Costello and his trio will perform a mix of Italian pop and jazz.
Zambosuperpizza, a band from Verona, will play a mix of ska and reggae elements instrumentally. Melissa Kross will enchant with her mix of soul, pop, and classic Italian repertoire. DJ Maru from Solingen-Ohligs will bring Mediterranean beats and international vibes to the festival.
Roncalli's Apollo Varieté will present an exclusive show act, while Haribow from the Apollo Varieté enchanted the audience with their exceptional skill in rope jumping on Saturday. Elena Martino will interpret the ancient rhythmic dance Pizzica from Apulia and offer a workshop. Her dance school invited guests to join in and learn the lively dance La Pizzica.
Italian classic cars like the legendary Fiat 500 and the admired Alfa Romeo Giulia will be displayed by Antonio Pacifico, owner of Autohaus Franz.
Moderator Pina Panettone will present the artists throughout the festival. For more information, visit www.festivalditalia.de.
