Celebrating 75 years of DRC's devotion: Vibrant event with an engaging program scheduled for Saturday, May 24th.
Celebrate with DRK-Bereitschaft Neustadt in Holstein!
Grab your family and friends and join the DRK-Bereitschaft Neustadt for a fun-filled open day on May 24th, from 11 am to 5 pm! Located at Holmer Weg 4-6, the event promises an exciting program for everyone.
Expect a diverse display of vehicles, enlightening insights into the work with rescue dogs, and demonstrations from the drone and quad by DRK Süssel. The local volunteer fire brigade will also be present. To keep your energy up, delicious coffee, cake, and the unmissable DRK pea soup from the field kitchen will be available. Kids can enjoy bouncy castles, while the lucky wheel presents plenty of attractive prizes. Best of all, admission is free!
At this event, you'll have the opportunity to get to know the essential work of the volunteer helpers better and chat with them. The members of the DRK-Bereitschaft will share their diverse areas of responsibility and fill you in on unique missions from the past. They are deployed for a range of tasks, such as helping in major damage events, providing first aid, supplying deployment forces on site, or covering additional emergency needs. Deployments typically take place in the surrounding Ostholstein area, but they extend their reach further if needed.
DRK-Bereitschaft Neustadt is regularly involved in regional major events like the European Folklore Festival or the "All You Can Dance" festival. The membership, training, deployment clothing, and equipment are all covered by the association. Apart from duties, camaraderie doesn't take a backseat; joint outings and celebrations strengthen the bond between team members, providing fun away from the deployment. If you're interested in joining, you can gather all the necessary information at the open day.
Parking: Due to the annual yacht festival, there is a one-way traffic regulation for the streets Holmer Weg and Am Holm. The members of the DRK-Bereitschaft recommend parking in the Sierksdorfer Straße area.
