Brunswick Employees Can Now Lease Bikes, E-bikes, or Cargo Bikes
City of Brunswick employees can now lease high-quality bicycles, e-bikes, or cargo bikes through the 'Lease a Bike' service. This initiative, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS), offers a tax-advantageous leasing option with extensive insurance and maintenance coverage. The city's administration has adopted this service to promote eco-friendly and health-conscious mobility.
The Dienstrad leasing model allows employees to choose any type or brand of bicycle for a three-year period. The leasing fee is deducted from the gross salary in a tax-advantageous manner through salary conversion and is subsidized. This makes cycling a more affordable and attractive commuting option for employees.
Anthony Bandmann, a board member for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Financial Services AG, expressed delight in the city's adoption of the Lease a Bike service. He stated, 'We are thrilled to partner with the city of Brunswick to promote sustainable mobility.'
The city of Brunswick's adoption of the Lease a Bike service demonstrates its commitment to encouraging cycling as a mode of transport. With tax advantages, extensive insurance, and subsidized leasing fees, the Dienstrad model offers an affordable and eco-friendly option for employees.
