Greenr Cafe Opens a New Outpost in Mumbai's Breach Candy Area
Greenr Cafe has expanded its horizons with a new outpost in the heart of Mumbai's Breach Candy area. This latest addition to the Greenr Cafe family is a blend of modern simplicity and Mumbai's Art Deco heritage, set within an old load-bearing home.
The design concept, created by Studio Hohma, STaND Design, and Siddhanth Tikkoo, focuses on carving out intimate, flowing pockets that encourage a sense of inclusivity and homeliness. The team treated the existing architectural conditions as creative prompts, resulting in a design that reflects Mumbai's duality - where the old and new coexist.
Each space within the 2,000 sq ft outpost flows into the next, creating a seamless layout. The design stays rooted in Greenr Cafe's sustainable DNA, with elements like a garden patio, living room-like corners, and a health bar fostering a welcoming, relaxed environment.
The design of the outpost is influenced by Mumbai's Art Deco architecture, with modern and simple touches that create a clean edit of the city's duality. The old load-bearing home, with its unique character, has played a significant role in shaping the design, ensuring that the outpost does not fully let go of Mumbai's past while maintaining a modern aesthetic.
The design process for the Greenr Cafe outpost in Breach Candy was a collaborative effort from day one. Devika Bhalla of Studio Hohma, Nikita D'Silva, and Siddhanth Tikkoo of STaND Design worked in sync to bring this unique space to life.
Mumbai, a city where old and new coexist, is the perfect backdrop for this new outpost. Greenr Cafe's Breach Candy outpost does not stop embracing the next, while drawing from the past to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere for its patrons.
