Autumn Cultural Weeks in Zella officially commences on September 25, featuring cabaret performer Franz Habersack for the opening night.
Get ready for an exciting lineup of events as the Autumn Culture Weeks return to Zella from September 19 to December 14. This annual event series offers a diverse program that appeals to both locals and guests, featuring cabaret, lectures, live rock, and a lively market atmosphere.
Kicking off the season is comedian Franz Habersack, who will open the event on September 19 at 7 pm at Gasthaus Schäfer with his comedy show "... and now you come" in Rhön dialect. Tickets for Franz Habersack's show are available in advance for €17.50.
On October 30, history enthusiasts and those interested in local tales will be captivated by Wolfgang Christmann's lecture about the "razed farms" of the Rhön. Christmann, the author of the book "For one's own security? History of the razed farms and their residents in the Geisa office", will share new insights at the festival hall at 7 pm. Tickets for his lecture are available in advance for €7.
For music lovers, the band Sheller Evergreens will perform "Sheller in the cellar" in the Dalberg cellar on November 8. Get ready to rock out to hits from Deep Purple, Journey, Tom Petty, Coldplay, The Beatles, Elton John, and more. Admission to the Sheller Evergreens performance is free, with donations welcome.
The festive season approaches, and the Christmas market of Zella's associations and initiatives will take place in the Propstei on December 13 and 14. The market will offer a cozy atmosphere, culinary and musical highlights, a wide range of traders and artisans, and forms a festive highlight for the end of the year.
