August 2025 NS&I Premium Bonds Draw Winners Unveiled: Could You Have Won the £1 Million Jackpot?
In the August 2025 Premium Bonds draw, millions of savers across the UK and beyond were in for a surprise as the National Savings and Investments (NS&I) announced the results. A total of 6,005,404 prizes were awarded, with a combined total value of £396,356,500.
The draw saw the creation of two new £1 million jackpot winners, along with 74 prizes of £100,000 each and 18,641 high-value prizes overall. The vast majority of prizes - 5,939,200 - were worth £100 or less.
One of the lucky £1 million winners was a saver from Central Bedfordshire, who purchased their Bond number 148YD123622 back in December 2008. Another millionaire, based outside of the UK, also took home the top prize.
A saver from West Scotland managed to win £100,000 with only £750 in Premium Bonds, while a saver with £50,000 in Premium Bonds won a jackpot with Bond number 205XQ030808, purchased in May 2013.
NS&I's Agent Million will visit both jackpot winners. The total number of eligible Bond numbers in the draw was a staggering 132,118,833,579.
However, it's important to note that there are currently 2,615,187 unclaimed Premium Bonds prizes worth £105,022,575. Savers are encouraged to check if they've won a prize this month, as NS&I will notify winners, but they might not always receive the message if they've moved or changed contact details.
The new Premium Bonds prize fund rate is 3.6%, down from 3.8%. Despite this change, every £1 Bond in Premium Bonds still has an equal chance of winning the £1 million jackpot, according to NS&I's retail director, Andrew Westhead.
The prize checker will be updated on 2 August 2025. With millions of payouts, worth over £396 million, distributed this month, it's a great time for savers to check their Premium Bonds and see if they've struck it rich.
