Art Event Weekend Exhibition
Gallery Weekend Berlin is gearing up for its 10th anniversary, promising an exciting 72-hour journey through the city's vibrant art scene from May 2-4. This year, the event features over 50 officially participating galleries, with hundreds of events taking place city-wide.
One of the highlights of the festival is a discussion with Patrizia Sandretto, a prominent Italian art collector and patron, at the Me Collectors Room on Saturday evening. Known for her efforts in promoting contemporary Italian art, Sandretto's insights are sure to enrich the artistic conversation.
Visitors can also look forward to special talks and parties throughout the weekend. For instance, a brunch at Berlinische Galerie on Saturday morning is not to be missed.
The Blackmarket show at L17 (Lehrter Str. 17, Moabit) is another must-see. Running from May 2-3, the exhibition features over 64 artists, including Römer + Römer. Best of all, the Blackmarket show is free to attend during Gallery Weekend.
In addition to the official programme, there are three unofficial freeloader galleries hosting events nearby, offering even more opportunities to immerse yourself in art.
The number of visitors to Gallery Weekend has been growing each year, making it an event not to be missed. To plan your visit, check out the full programme at www.gallery-weekend-berlin.de. Some exhibitions are on view during the weeks before or after the festival, so there's plenty to explore.
